“Looking for a cozy place in the middle of a romantic village in the Alsace with very friendly staff and outstanding food? Look no further! Clean room, comfy bed, breakfast really good for a French hotel and reasonably priced at 10 €. The highlight is the dinner, though. High quality nosh, meat (we had veal and duck) to die for, nicely presented, for unbelievable 16-18 €. Try and find that elsewhere, fat chance. We loved the place and so will you.”
“The location is excellent. Right in the middle of the village. There's no parking at the hotel but, you can drive up all the way to the hotel to unload and park your car only 2 min away outside the city wall. We stayed for Christmas in Turckheim which was nicely decorated, there was a tiny Christmas market and music in the Streets. Turckheim was a good hub to do some hicking, visit other villages and go skiing in the Vosges Mountains (Bresse Honneck, 40min drive). The hotel has comfortable clean rooms and bathrooms. There was a minifridge in the common room we could use and, once checked in we could use the 'backdoor' to have excess to our room. That was convenient since we did not have to pass through the restaurant or reception all the time. On Christmasday we had diner in the restaurant. Excellent food and charming place! The personnel (guy at the reception/waiter/cleaning lady) all very friendly and helpful.”
