“Hotel location is perfect offering views of Talmont, just a short walk away and the sea.”

“Beautiful little hotel just outside the village of Talmont (outstanding scenic village) at the top of the Gironde estuary. Panoramic view of the estuary from the pretty restaurant. Great food with plenty of fish, but with meats also to satisfy non-fish lovers. Menu excellent and the food was very well prepared. Breakfast very basic though - coffee, juice, croissants, but no cheeses or meats - just jam. There was cereal and fresh fruit - but only natural yogurt. Secure and private parking (we parked under the trees as they gave shade on a particularly hot day). Hotel rooms accessed by a separate entrance with secure locks. Rooms were shuttered and cool although there was no air conditioning. A short stroll to the lovely medieval village of Talmont which has restaurants, wine bars and pretty souvenir and craft shops. Very jolly and friendly hotel owner who was helpful and tried out his English well!”

“Fabulous position overlooking Talmont and the estuary. Always a friendly welcome, lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant specialising in local food especially fish and a good breakfast. One of our favourite placess to stay”

“Lovely hotel in a beautiful position for sea views and sunsets. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant, served with local wine was very good. The room was simple and basic, but was adequate with a good shower. Hotel was in easy walking distance to the old fishing village of Talmont which was delightful.”
