“I loved the isolated location of Isola di Rosa, the gorgeous ocean view and sunsets from the patio, long walks, and wonderful conversation with the owner, Franco. My room was spacious. The main building is full of books and comfortable seating.”
“Franco the host was amazing, sunset wAs remarkable, location was great, everything about this spot was amazing.”
“When we first arrived at L'isola di Rosa Franco he told us that this wasn't a hotel but a big house and home and he couldn't have described it better. It is named it after his grandmother who taught him his cooking skills. He farms his 12 hectares of land completely without the use of chemicals and there is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the terrace looking towards the Tyrrhenian Sea whilst enjoying his cooking with everything fresh from the garden. The en suite rooms are air conditioned, comfortably furnished and even include an enormous bathtub. There is a swimming pool with glorious views and if you need extra relaxation you can enjoy a massage in the Spa.”
“The food and wine were excellent! There was no choice of courses as in a menu but what we got was very tasty...and the presentation was outstanding. Also, we were the only guests that day and we felt very pampered.”
“Panoramic sunset views from the hotel to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The rose bushes were in full bloom and the owner very proud that his gardens are pesticide free. There is a lovely terrace for a late afternoon aperitivo. A lovely spot to base from for visits to the Etruscan Necropolis.”
“Peaceful and quiet location. Beautiful views, nice rooms and spectacular hospitality. Location near by the airport made this a perfect place to relax before heading home.”
“Food is great Quiet and peaceful location Nearness to Rome and other sights Small, charming hotel with good facilities”
“The location is more than wonderfull but it is to bad that the owner has nothing to do with beeing a host”
“you want a quiet and peaceful holiday - where the only thing you hear is the light wind going through the olive trees? you want to eat simple but traditional and with extraordinary taste - fresh from the garden? you want to enjoy a most romantic sunset with a good glass of red wine? The owner Franco is very Roman - so do not expect the most outgoing person. But he makes your stay just perfect. Just ask what your desires are - and you will get it. it is an uncomplicated place run by a small team. very familiar. in the evening the guests sit together and enjoy each others company. Bring your guitar or even sing - others will join in. you want a massage or a relaxed hour in the Hanmam - you will be taken care of. all i can say - try L' isola di Rosa! you will not regret it. it is a place we all dream of.”
“beautiful gardens, home grown vegetables & fruits for breakfast/dinner, in the evening one can chose between a 3-course-dinner at 25€ or just a simple very delicious focaccia; around 20min drive to the beach (I recommend Fregene beach which has plenty of nice beach clubs to chose from e.g. Ondanomala) and 40min drive to the center of Rome”
