“Nice looking hotel, helpful staff, good breakfast.”
“The host was very helpful and concerned with our struggle to find cash, given the fact that none of the ATM's in the surrounding cities were able to deliver. Breakfast was fine, with a nice view from the breakfast room.”
“The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The manager, Lauri, was exceptional. I had a rental car that I drove from Salta to Purmamarca - the next day the battery was dead. I am so grateful to have had Lauri interface with the car rental agency because my Spanish is not good. Her communication with the agency helped to sort out the situation and I was able to get the car issue resolved. It was a stressful experience and it was her help and kindness that relieved the anxiety I was feeling. Thank you again Lauri for your help. In addition, I loved the hotel...very nice in a great location.”
“Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location and friendly staff.”
“The architecture of the property is rather unique: The rooms are like little houses making up a tiny private village on elevated ground. There are places where the view of the surrounding mountains is very nice. The wooden door and ceiling and the bold intense colour of the wall are memorable features. The staff is pleasantly friendly and patient with a guest's lack of Spanish skills. The atmosphere of the place, like Purmamarca itself, is calm and relaxed.”
“excellent breakfast in a room with a view of the mountains. wonderful design of buildings essential sun block cream available for free”
“Hospitality, location, size of the room. The hotel is charming & the staff is very nice and friendly. The amenities surprised us. The whole view from the room is superb! Breakfast is delicious. The owner, Lauri, is very nice & friendly!”
“Our room was very comfortable, with a view of the surrounding mountains. Our hostess was friendly, and made sightseeing recommendations for the area.”
“After a long drive through the beautiful scenery of the Andes from Salta, we arrived at the small village of Purmamarca with dusty roads and amazing views. Casa de Abuelo is the best choice in the small towns with lovely local staff to welcome us and help us with a warm heart. We loved the interior from La Casa in the first moment which is decorated in vivid colors, with colorful cactus pots and local artisan pieces .. Our room (Nr 2) featured vibrant pink walls, 2 beds and a good shower. When waking up, from La Casa you have the best views to the mountains with 7 colors... just amazing. The breakfast was one of the best ones we had in Argentina with fresh orange juice, pastry, etc. The Wlan worked inside the rooms, although the town is in the middle of the Andes.”
“Very nice hotel. Great room and its facilities. Ceiling fan very efficient and very quiet. Staff friendly. Wi-Fi OK.”
