“The owners are into bio and all the sources of the excellently cooked food were local and the producers listed on the menu. I've never seen such a range of home-made jams on a breakfast buffet. The restaurant menu is short, but there was always a choice for the day for entree, plat and dessert which differed each day we were there, and being a former chef myself I can say I was impressed by the standard. The rooms were very comfortable, the garden lovely and the pool inviting. The hotel would be an excellent centre for car touring in the Loire area.”

“This was a magical place to stay. Everything about it has great charm and class, from the lounge with a piano and a collection of books and vinyl LPs, the history of the hotel in the room - everytying was great. The courtyard garden was fantastic, the service attentive without being intrusive (the owners are very gracious hosts with long experience at top class hotels - and you can just tell they really know what they are doing) and the dinner was simply the best meal I have had in France for years. A good wine list, with prices that are reasonable, and a really good buffet breakfast with home made jams, cake, really good coffee and all the rest of it. The room we had for the family was the first 'family room' we have had that was actually usable for a family - two seperate bedrooms with access directly onto the courtyard. Honestly can't speak highly enough of our stay. I just wish we had booked for longer.”
