“This was such a wonderful place. We were arriving late and so I called to let the hotel know and the owner was very nice and told us to just ring the bell to be let in. At 23:00 she came down to give us our key with a smile on her face and a hearty welcome. Waldenbuch, like so many towns is rich with history. The Ritter chocolate factory & museum is a block away. The village old town is out the door with many old half timber homes. The hotel itself was on the old horse trade route as well as Roman Road. Part of the building were the stables. After asking a 7 generation family member about the history of the hotel he proudly shared history and that Goethe and many other famous people stayed here. The breakfast is excellent and awesome coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very lovely. It was the best nights sleep and most comfortable bed and one of the best showers in any hotel we've stayed in, in Europe.”

“If you want to go to the outlet in Metzingen and you have a animal, this is the place to go. Everything is perfect an the village is nice. Take your dog and go shopping.”
“Amazingly friendly staff and very nice hotel. The location is beautiful even though I needed to get to the Stuttgart Messe, there is a regular bus. The restaurant and menu looked yummy (traditional local food), unfortunately I didn't get a chance to get beyond the breakfast buffet. WiFi is free and worked perfectly, room was spacious with desk. I would definitely come back. The Ritter Sport chocolate factory is in the same village.”
