“We cannot say enough good things about Landhaus Biehl. The staff was excellent and very attentive to our needs. The restaurant had great food and was not expensive. The rooms, while rustic, they fit in perfectly in the small village of Philippsheim. Additionally, our rooms were usually serviced while we eat breakfast. Landhaus Biehl is a five-minute walk to the bahnhof (train station) where you can take the train, which runs every hour, to Trier for site seeing. We would recommend Landhaus Biehl to anyone looking for a quiet get-away.”
“The owner is personable and very friendly. This was our second stay and he made us feel as if we were coming home. Beautiful view. Room large and comfortable. The kitchenette was good for making tea and coffee but cooking would be a challenge. I really like this place.”
“I appreciated that there were not many stairs. My room was on the main level. Not a lot of stairs to climb to my room. The breakfast was amazing, prompt and very good. My brötchen were warm each morning (4 mornings). My egg was always warm and perfectly cooked.”
“The owner was extremely helpful and spoke excellent english, everything was clean and room facilities good. The food in the restaurant was very good and particularly liked the fresh eggs for breakfast from the chickens over the road. For trips into Trier try the train, cheap and easy to use.”

“Dirk, the proprietor was friendly, conscientious and attentive. His English is also excellent. Service was outstanding. The food in the restaurant was priced reasonably and the portions were ample. My son enjoyed the steak and French fries. We two adjoining rooms (one small single bed with separate restroom and individual closet, and a small frig; and a larger room with two twin beds, a table large enough for laptops, a large closet, a full-size bathroom, a kitchenette with microwave, coffee maker and small frig. Each room had a balcony. The rooms were joined by a door but each had its own front door. There was satellite TV but primarily European channels with some English language news channels.”
