“A very comfortable and intimate country manor house hotel with a personal touch. Expect nooks, crannies, creaking floorboards and the odd cobweb but also log fires, cosy bedrooms, wonderful staff superb local fare and history that dates back to the mid seventeenth century. Set in the rolling Hampshire hills with crunchy gravel drive and chickens and pheasants strolling the lawns this offers a real taste of English country life.”

“The rural location and the grounds of the hotel are lovely. They ungraded me to a nice big room. I dont find the hotel old fashioned and rundown as others have suggested. I did not eat in the restaurant, except for a good breakfast, but had excellent drinks in the comfortable lounge. Lots of interesting books and magazines around.”
