“We arrived by car, there is a public parking lot about 200m from hotel. Room was spacious enough, well heated, nice comfortable bed, nice warm bathroom, pleasant after staying outside in the cold for hours. Breakfast was good. “"Le Grand Hotel" faces Strasbourg's main railway station. In many cities that would be a poor location but in Strasbourg it is a very good location for several reasons: the large "Place de la Gare" has little traffic and much sunlight; there are many nice hotels on the "Place de la Gare" and, increasingly, nice restaurants near-by; access to Strasbourg's excellent network of highspeed trams is very easy; and the historic center is only 15 minutes away on foot. Our room was well-equipped, clean and comfortable; the heating, shower, safe, lighting, mini-bar, etc. were all fully fuctional The hotel has a contemporary look and feel. Staff were quick and helpful. The buffet breakfast is complete, good and well organized.”
