“The hospitality of Basque country is unsurpassed. Le Trinquet is a family run hotel in a traditional Basque village - Trinquet is a form of Pelota and the hotel has a court (ask). We were given Room 8 because we were travelling with 2 large dogs. It is tastefully decorated and has a beautiful balcony which catches the setting sun. Large car park onsite. Boulangerie (sells beer too) and Biscuiterie nearby. Restaurant closed during winter on Sunday and Wednesday and no other restaurants in the village, Biarritz is 30 mins in a car. Breakfast was an extra charge but was all locally produced. Dogs were no problem but advise contacting the property beforehand to get the best room for your needs.”
