“We loved our 4 day stay at this hotel! The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the public areas are very welcoming with great sofas and board games should you wish to relax. The restaurant maintains an excellent standard and breakfast is superb. The location of the hotel is perfect for touring this beautiful island and Chateau d'Oleron itself is both picturesque and convenient for general facilities. The truly lovely staff at Jardins d'Alienor certainly made our stay special (we are also grateful to them for alerting us to some items left behind which they posted to us without charge). We very much hope to return.”
“The staff were very helpful and the breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent.”
“Beautiful small boutique hotel on quiet street near centre of vibrant village with excellent restaurant in house! Very friendly staff and accommodating owner! Delicious, high quality breakfast served in lovely dining room with very interesting original art work! Cosy salon for guests to relax in with wonderful "games room" decor and interesting collections! A favourite hotel during a 7 week stay in France!!!”
“Would have liked croissants. But otherwise delicious breakfast.”
“Great decor in the room and loved the squidgy rubber floor to the shower! The restaurant looked really nice but we actually went for a wander and ate at a restaurant called The Drugstore (yep, quirky name) just down the road, which was lovely.”
“Room very nice just as web described but dinner in the dining room was exceptional, the staff more than helpful. Great stay!”
“lovely atmosphere, nice attention to detail, décor a bit quirky.”
“You will not be disappointed if you choose here for a stay on the island. The staff were friendly, helpful and there was a fantastic choice of whiskies with a sommelier who had studied the art. An added bonus for my husband.”
“Warm welcome, reception very helpful. Lovely decor.”
“Une chambre atypique très confortable. Un petit déjeuner exceptionnel !!”
