“The building itself was beautiful, however the rooms you see on the website are not necessarily where you will be staying. Upon arrival we were shown to a house, and let in to what was supposed to be a superior room. The wallpaper was peeling off of the walls and the shower room was basic to say the least, overall very disappointing! Additionally there was a private party using the bar, so although we were permitted to order drinks, we did not feel welcome to stay and drink them.”
“Property is an old mill and next to a nice canal, the guy who checked us in was nice and the breakfast was good. He even redid my scrambled eggs on toast because he put cream in them. ”
“Beautifully converted old mill next to the canal. Great restaurant for dinner and a good cooked breakfast is also served in the mill restaurant. B&B rooms are in a house next door. Good sized room for group of friends (we had a double bed and bunkbeds - ok for adults or kids). Restaurant and B&B seemed to be run by just one man - very attentive and friendly. Not sure how he would cope if the place got busy!”

“I'm disabled and the minute the owner realised he offered me at no extra charge, an upgrade to an accessible room. The food and wine were both excellent and front of house and waiting staff were knowledgeable, informative and the food arrived pretty quickly and piping hot. The minute I was shown to our room, Wi-Fi was offered but not accepted. 24 hours without it was heaven.”
“Very nicely sited area, peaceful and quiet, main reception/breakfast room/bar very nice and cozy. Good hot breakfast and a great cup of coffee. comfortable bed,had a great night's sleep. Richard is a nice bloke, had one or two nice little chats with a beer, he is a warm person and make you welcome.”
“Disappointingly, the restaurant was closed due to gas leak so couldn't test it but the bar/restaurant area was very inviting. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. They also recommended a splendid local restaurant. The area around the mill is quite lovely.”

“We had booked a basic room. The bed was very comfortable and the room amenities were basic. The room was very clean. The breakfast choice was excellent with everything locally sourced. The owner and staff we encountered were all really friendly. Only regret was that we did not have dinner in the Bistro. An excellent choice of main meals with the emphasis on game but vegetarian options available. Good local real ales and a nice selection of gins on the bar.”
