“The staff were excellent, so was the food. The room really let the hotel down, it was very out of date and the bathroom and loos didn't look touched since the 1980's. There was a really nice snug bar though with a lovely open fire and the staff and food counterbalanced the poor facilities. Great potential if the place was refurbished. Compared to other places we stayed on this trip, the room was poor value for money. The evening meal and service were Michelin star quality!!”
