“The room was comfortable. We booked a king suite which was only a little more than a regular room, and with a child under 2, having a separate room was great for ensuring we all slept better. There wasn’t a wall separating the rooms but the photos were clear and it wasn’t expected. The breakfast was a typical hotel hot breakfast but they had such great service for us and our child, it was well worth not eating in a crowded restaurant.”
“This place is really a gem! Right off the highway. Nicely decorated and inviting lobby; everything was sparkling clean; hot morning breakfast was very good. But the best part was the welcoming staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly welcoming, and while we didn't have a single complaint, we felt as though any issues we had would have been immediately addressed. We routinely drive from Denver to Chicago to visit family, and are definitely adding Lonesome Dove Lodge to our list of places to stay!”
“The breakfast was one of best had in hotel/motels have stayed. Most free breakfasts are pretty weak. The eggs at Lonesome Dove were really great tasting and the pork sausage was authentic and delicious as well as the gravy! The very friendly lady working in the breakfast area was constantly keeping the area clean and insuring the food was fully plenished and presentable.”

“I got an upgrade because the room that I had reserved was not available. Very spacious comfortable room. Excellent bed and bedding. Lots of good pillows and towels. Handwritten note of thanks on the nightstand was a nice touch, as was the personally placed wake-up call (when was the last time that you got one of those?). Some staff members were noticeably polite.”
“The staff were so friendly, the breakfast was wonderful, they had real biscuits and gravy that were wonderful and scrambled eggs, toast, you name it. All hot and fresh at 9am unlike some other "continental" breakfast at other places. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bedding was very nice as were the bed itself. Staff were so friendly and helpful.”
