A special mention for Laura who made us very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed - with a smile!”

“We stayed for two nights on a walking holiday. This was one of the best hotels we have every stayed in. The hotel is charming with charming and helpful staff - everything was great from the best scones I have ever had at tea, to a great heated outdoor pool with an open woodburning hearth, and tennis court with balls and rackets provided. The staff couldnt have been more pleasant and helpful. We like jazz - I was dismayed to find at dinner that we hadnt known about a Jazz evening that night in the nearby associated restaurant. This was anyway book up so we couldnt have gone - instead, the staff arranged for the hotel car to take us there after dinner and still listen to the last hour. It is expensive but worth every penny.”
