“Beautiful Manoir and Courtyard. Very quiet and typically French. Fantastic food and the only restaurant that I've been to with a separate bottled water list. Try the 'Val' chilled - it's very refreshing. The restaurant service is delivered by just one lady who also runs reception. There are about 40 covers but she was efficient and I un-rushed. I loved it because it harked back a decade. The diners were all French and probably local. The only language was French. The walls were magnolia and while there were wall lights there were LED strip lights between some beams. The food is local, hearty and while it's rustic it's very well presented with some deft modern touches. The cider sauce is very well balanced and sweet and much of the meat is cooked over wood. The aroma of autumn wood smoke gently issued from the kitchen with each service.”
“location is ideal for an overnight stay (or longer) travelling across the Channel to Caen. The property is clean and well maintained and comfortable. We only had breakfast this time but the meals are very good”
