“Cleanliness, silence and perfect service! The town is small but very pleasant, quiet and with many interesting places to visit. The streets are narrow, without sidewalk for the pedestrians, traffic is one way, but people drive carefully. There are enough restaurants, which operate only at night. During the day there are open the cafes and the shops. People are very polite and attentive! I encourage each as to be able to visit Portalegre. They can visit many places around this city also - Marvao, Alvas and others.”
