“The staff was amazing. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and the bath and massage were delightful. The proximity to the Toshogu Shrine and other points of interest in Nikko (all within walking distance) and to the public bus to Chuzenji Falls is wonderful.”

“Dinner was very good - though quite too much to finish everything. The location is within walking distance to the Heritage Shrines & Temples. We booked a family room with a private bath which was a nice touch, though made it a little pricey -- and we were not sure if the water is just hot water or natural hot spring water. The public bath (one indoor and one outdoor) looks very nice with very good facilities.”
“We enjoyed the typical very large Japanese room, complete with tatami, Ikebana decor, floor seats, etc. The hotel encourages its guests to wear the traditional yukata for dinner and these are provided in a choice of colours as well as top coats, traditional shoes and toe socks. The dinner is a gastronomic Japanese feast with many, many dishes and served in private rooms by staff in kimonos. While you are having dinner, futons are installed in your room to sleep on. We chose the continental breakfast which was gargantuan!”
“Perfect mountain getaway and Hotel with amazing hot onsen, meals perfectly catered for in private settings. great little town Nikko near by, restaurants and shops and public transport with an all excess Nikko Pass. Bed comfortable traditional Japanese room. perfect river view.”

The guy playing the piano in the bar was very talented and inviting for guests to pick their favorite classical pieces. The onsen was superb. It wasn't crowded at all and the facility was really clean. It made it so easy to relax and sink into the holiday mood.”
