“The room was huge and comfortable. Aircon was cold and the room has a very nice view of the sea. A very quiet and relaxing stay if you want some peace and get close to the sea (and listen to the waves). The staff are very friendly and approachable. Will need to get tuk tuk or driver if you want to get around the place as it is far from the city. Got a nice welcome coconut drink from the staff.”

“Well, the location is amazing, right on the beach and this room we d has a prime view to the ocean. If you love savage, untamed and virgin beaches, you have to go to Tangalle...it is my favorite beach area in Sri Lanka. The room is amazingly big and comfortable, so is the bathroom and it has a great terrace with a small pool/Jacuzzi that can be used when it is not dry season. The host, Michaela, is very attentive, and follows up on the stay every time she has the occasion to do so. I wold only suggest to move the restaurant from the swimming pool area in the future, it gets a abit hot and besides they have so much space on the first floor, it would make such a great location for a restaurant.”

“Really nice family owned property by the beach. The staff and the accommodation were great and we had a very quiet and relaxing stay! Note that you will need a driver or tuk tuk to move in and out of the property as it is not close to the city.”

“Long and lonely beach right in front of the Hotel (be careful of very strong current). Great, clean outdoor pool. You`ll need a scooter cause it´s at the end of the road quite far away from Tangalle.”

“I loved everything here. A great hotel on the most amazing beach. Room, food and pool are just perfect. The room is spotless, very spacious with a huge, comfortable bed, good quality linen, very nicely decorated, a lovely outside shower and a very nice view. I even found a small private pool on my terrace! The room price is unbeatable. It has a great pool area. The pool is kept very clean and in the evenings, the restaurant area adjacent to the pool is lit up beautifully. Food at Taj Tangalle was delicious, very high quality compared to elsewhere in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was the best I have had on my trip and the staff was wonderful. The Wifi was very good as well. The lonely beach is just fabulous. I really wanted to stay but unfortunately I had to catch my plane. I’ll come back soon. The room price is unbeatable It is just the perfect retreat and I highly recommend this wonderful place!”

“If you're looking for an absolute calm place, this beach is perfect. The beach is really beautiful but there is really absolutely nothing around to see or do. You should know that when coming here. The rooms are clean and nice. Having the bathroom outside is a cool thing. The manager is nice and often asked, if we are satisfied or if there are any problems. ”

“Am schönten sind die menschenleeren Strände. Die Anlage liegt mitten einer großen Bucht direkt am Strand. Die Zimmer sind modern eingeichtet, das Bett ist groß und bequm. Im Außenbad gibt es warmes Wasser. Die Zimmer sind sauber.Die Köchin Pushpa zaubert die leckersten Currys. Wir haben unseren Aufendhalt sehr genossen und können das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Der TukTuk Fahrer und der Van Fahrer des Hotels sind sehr zuverlässig und pünktlich.”
