“Other than the chatacter of the building there was nothing much to like about this accommodation. In fact it gave an impression of sadness following better times in a bygone era.”

“The staff were very welcoming and friendly although they did not speak much English. We had dinner both nights and sat out in the courtyard so that our dog could be with us. The food was very good especially a superb sea bass the first night. Fatima looked after us so well throughout our stay. The location is perfect for historic Santiago de Compostela or for touring the coastal region”

“The restored building has modern touches, which make it comfortable, but retains the charm of its past. We loved the tranquility of being in a small town, while at the same time we were able to get to the parking near the cathedral in Santiago very easily in the car in less than 15 minutes. Parking the car off the street for free was also a plus. We were happy we ate dinner at the restaurant too. It was hard to choose -- everything sounds wonderful -- but the meal we ate there was the best of our trip through Galicia. The owners are very helpful; José in particular is quite an expert on great places to visit. Next time we'll stay longer and plan day trips from there.”

“Very nice tranquil country hotel. Food was delicious especially the beef cheeks in red wine and the desserts were incredible. Coffee was the best we had in Spain. Rooms were comfortable and very clean and even had a bath! Lovely friendly local staff. Excellent value for money”

“we were met with enthusiasm. our lunch was superb. our dog Bonnie was treated well too. great area for her to exercise in. our breakfast was light, refreshing and tasty. our only wish was that we had been able to walk around the outside of the beautiful hotel/restaurant, the traffic was making our pet too nervous to attempt anything more adventurous. the building has been beautifully and tastefully renovated. 18thC architecture does have one or two drawbacks, i.e., noise carries! so what is wrong with a little consideration of others?.....we would love to return. the hostess was hilarious :)”

“Very fine cuisine, friendly staff (the owner and his wife), they provided us very good pieces of advises about the points of interest in the area (we were 5 days for business in Santiago, and we had only 1 day for tourism, so we needed to get the most of it). Good location at only 10mn from Santiago's old town, a good value for the price.”

“This is a lovely old world hotel. Our room was situated at the front of the building and was well nicely set out with a large bathroom. The sound proofing from the little traffic noise was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful although our limited Spanish was a bit of a barrier, but we got through. They made our dog very welcome. I hope you can tell I am enthusiastic about this hotel. The food was great we ate dinner there almost every night oh and the wines were good too! Easy access to Santiago and the many beautiful resorts on the coast, for exciting days out.”
