“Location and staff excellent. Food excellent. Lovely pies made by local butcher. Very close to the opera house and shops. Parking available on street outside. £3 for 24 hours.”
“The hotel seems a little dated when you first arrive but the room was lovely with good quality furnishings and plenty of room. Everything from the bedding to the towels was high on quality and showed that the management are really trying to give customers the best possible experience. It's in a great location on the edge of town, surrounded by parkland and within 5 minutes walk of the town centre. The Opra House is just across the road and I had an enjoyable evening watching Dial M for Murder! All in all an excellent stay and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Breakfast was great also!.”
“Very friendly staff. Great view over park. Good cooked to order breakfast.”
“Location”
“It’s history and being quaint. The service is excellent too”
“I loved the staff and the locationThe bed was very comfortable”
“A very comfortable hotel, the staff are all friendly, helpful and efficient. We had a lovely short break despite terrible weather. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the theatre and were worried that its central position would mean it was noisy but we had a very peaceful night and woke refreshed to enjoy pondering over the wide choice of breakfast options both buffet and served to the table.”
“The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We were able to park outside the hotel free of charge as we have a blue badge and the hotel gave a note to say we were staying”
“Central location. A very old building but very Well kept. Lovely staff and breakfast was good.”
