The old city centre of Guimaraes is worth visiting as Guimaraes is the former capital of Portugal. On the way back from the city centre we took a taxi availble in the city centre for only 5 Euro.”

[ BUT staff could not identify the features when we asked for help locating them!] The old city of Guimares was lovely to stroll /have drinks--but having seen Obidos, Visceu, and Guimares in a sequence their distinctiveness blurred.”
“Our bedroom was very comfortable. The pousada is a converted monastery and is very large. There is plenty of parking. The breakfast selection is good and they even went the extra mile to make me mushrooms and tomatoes for my toast as I am vegan. Our bedroom was comfortable.”
