“The building itself is absolutely beautiful, indeed there were many people taking pictures of it from passing tour boats and the pavement across the canal. Rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable - not the biggest but frankly you would be a bit deluded to expect anything bigger in a building as old! The location couldn't be more convenient. Everything in Bruges is a short walk but this is right in the middle of everything - the train station was only 15 mins walk (or less than EUR10 on the way back laden with beer and chocolate!). Breakfast was great with hot and cold choices as well as the ultimate indulgence - a waffle with ice cream as a 'breakfast pudding'!”

Stayed in room 10 (the most expensive room), where the film In Bruges was partly shot - fun to watch the film on your mobile while there.”

“Five stars. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Location, close to all the best sites and overlooking the canal was the best in Bruges. Very comfortable and a full marble bathroom to add to the luxury. The hotel made our visit to Bruges one of our best holidays. Parking in a nearby municipal underground car park at only 9euros a day was excellent value and very convenient. Could not have asked for more. Will be back.”
