“Picturesque place, close to dessert, great riad with welcoming host”

“Very good experience :) you can contact guys from the riad and they are willing to help with everything, they picked us up from the bus stop in Merzouga at 5 am (even when the bus should have arrived at 7 am) and give us one extra breakfast :) but we messed up a little and booked a room and then went to the desert and slept in a tent, so we basically paid for two accommodations. Breakfast was really good, we got various Moroccan pastry, jam, olives, yogurt, cake, eggs and orange juice, mint tea (much of mint tea all day long) and also coffee. Camels look good by the way, I think they really take care of them. In the end, the staff managed a minivan for us on the way to Ouarzazate.”

“When we arrived in Merzouga we even got picked up at the busstop, had the best tagine so far and stayed one night in a really clean and big room. The next day we took off to a two nights desert trip organized by the owners. The trip was perfect: we were a really small group, rode on dromedaries to different camps, enjoyed the beautiful night sky and had even more delicious food. In the end they arranged a cheap group taxi for us so we didn't have to take the night bus to fes. We can definitely recommend the hotel and the desert tour and would always do it again.”

“Mohamed and Ismael gave us the best greeting in Morroco! They made us feel like we were at home! The food was really good, the rooms are spacious with good AC and great showers! You absolutely need to go sleep one night in the desert berber fire camp (which is theirs!) It was the best experience ever! we will be spending all our friends here!! “Riad Desert Camel is located right at the desert! Beautiful riad, typical berber... big clean rooms, the staff goes beyond to make you feel at home! Matrasses on top of the riad to watch the stars at night, diner on top to enjoy the amazing view! Name it and they will arrange it for you 😇 They offer tracks to the desert with their own camels, the berber tents in the desert are perfect, the food made their was delicious! “nice stay in Riad led by two brothers Youssef and Mohammad just at the foot of Erg Chebbi 10 minutes walk to first Sahara dunes.Hosts very friendly and helpful-spacy room,hot shower,comfy bad-good breakfest-night on the bivac/tent 1h30m by camel from Riad -with food,music,sunset and sunrise,surprisingly with range of mobile-great expirience during the full Moon.”

“We had an incredible experience with the wonderful folks at Riad Desert Camel. Youssef welcomed us after our bus arrived late at night and arranged two days of camel trekking. Ismail led us through otherworldly landscapes in the dunes, took plenty of pictures and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. At the camp he prepared the best tagine we've ever tasted. We saw a gorgeous sunset, moonrise and sunrise. They also arranged our transport to Fez, putting us up another night when the bus got canceled. We'll recommend this place to all our friends!”
