“The location on the Douro was quite beautiful. We had a room with an unobstructed view of the river and surrounding forrest. The design of the hotel is quite spacious (to the point of almost wasted space) and very modern. The pool and spa facility overlook the river. It was great swimming in the indoor pool at the end of the day watching the sun set on the horizon. The rooms are very big and very comfortable. Waking up to the sun shining off the river was quite magical. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it made our stay in the Douro region a quiet, tranquil delight.”

“Perfect room with perfect view. We recommend to go to this place for relaxation away from the city. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a grat restaurant (must try the slowly roasted pork cheek!), a spa area, indoor and outdoor pools, bar, billiards, even a library. The staff is friendly and helpful. You see the beautiful river from everywhere- lobby, pool, room, restaurant, sauna, and the view really makes you forget all the problems you have and find peace of mind.”
