“This is a great gem of a hotel, hidden outside of the central tourist spots. The hotel is a five minute walk from 205th Street subway station. The surrounding area is classic-NY; very safe and friendly, with a massive choice of restaurants and shops that stay open very late. Check-in was easy and the staff were very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean - I think the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The design and decor was modern and attractive, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The giant 42'' TV was great in comparison to the usual tiny TVs you get in NYC hotels. The complimentary breakfast was varied and had a good range of foods. For British tourists looking to stay in New York City without paying the ridiculous Manhattan prices, I highly recommend Rodeway Inn Bronx Zoo. For an extra ten minutes on the subway you can save hundreds of pounds. I will be staying here again!”
