“Working 1920s tiny elevator that once ferried FDR to his guest room! Little oak-panelled library with carved fireplace, stained glass windows in restaurant that you can have quiet meal in. Separate, full vegetarian menu at restaurant and credible wines by the glass. Friendly, classy and respectful staff.”
