“This hotel is located outside of town in the quiet and picturesque countryside, making it a must to have your own transportation (rental car etc). The hotel itself is a large modern American style hotel with very reasonable prices for both room and restaurant food. We enjoyed a wonderful Ramen/Tempura dinner for a mere ¥1650 /person. The breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was also very enjoyable in the peaceful and bright dining room. The large and locally popular onsen baths were also a nice bonus to enjoy as entry was included in the room price. The hotel is also a popular wedding venue and seems geared towards this market. The friendly staff speak no English, however they provide guests with very good hand-outs which explain all the important features and facts for a pleasant stay. I can highly recommend this hotel for any travelers visiting or traveling through the region.”
“Onsen for every nite stayed n free shutter bus to & fro Johana station. Hotel management is nice to suggest that we can let driver bring back luggage so we can explore Ainokura on our first day with limited 2hr time as last bus department from Johana at 4plus..”

“The staff really did the best to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is located geographically next to a motorway stop. One can walk across via the pedestrian zone but you can't drive directly across without making a 15 mins detour which we couldn't find the road at the time. We called the hotel that we are stuck in the motorway stop and struggled to bring our luggage across the pedestrian zone in the cold dark night. They sent a butler with a hotel car to help us ferry the luggage across. Dinner was immediately served once we checked in and a nice onsen helped us recovered. The next morning, I ran around the reservoir with snow in the forest. I wished I had time to use the swimming pool and spa as well but we were in a rush the next morning.”
