“It's a good location, helpful staff and well converted.”
“The hotel was convenient to the center of town, was clean and had an interesting history.”
“On rating hotels, I check the bathroom first. When a hotel provides a pullout flexible makeup mirror, it's already better than most. Spacious bathroom, his-hers toilets, clean floor, flexible shower door, extra towel racks & space to lay out women's accutrements... what more can one ask for? The room was clean, spacious, had a high ceiling & blackout curtains for that restful sleep. The history behind the hotel plus its quiet atmosphere is a good match for Santiago, a city never without visitors from all corners of the world. Travellers who obviously do a lot of walking & in its small sloping streets will find this hotel absolutely relaxing! That it has an adjacent historic church w daily mass is another plus. Good buffet breakfast too!”
“My stay was literally magical. Had high hopes and they exceeded my expectations. Staff, ambience, food everything was amazing. Best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Best combo of historic location and modern comforts and decor.”
“The staff was exceptional. They provided courteous service; answered all of our questions; made recommendations for restaurants and tapas bars; circled highlights on a map that their city offered; even printed our flight boarding passes when it was time to leave. I cannot recommend this facility more highly. The room was excellent and the hotel location was perfect....literally just a block from the cathedral and plaza.”
“breakfast was very good. attendants very professional. dinner was too expensive for the dinner served. Go out on the medieval town = much better deal and experience.”
“They have called me when the room is ready and also Upgrated.... Merci”
“A good alternative to the (overcrowded) parador de los Reyes. Very friendly staff, modernisation of this antique building very well done, discrete but effective. Location excellent, just behind the parador, at 300m. from plaza d'Obradoiro.”
“Amazing breakfast buffet and property Best hotel in Spain!”
“We stayed in 5 very good hotels in Spain and this would have to be the best of the best! The building (an historic convent/monastery is simply stunning). The area is quiet but near to everything you wish to see in the old town. Cathedral is a 5 minute walk. Staff are excellent particularly Veronica in the breakfast area. She had a smile every day and was exceptionally friendly. Daniel in the cafeteria / bar was very good and also friendly. The room was a very large size compared to other hotels and the bed and pillows were so comfortable! Cleaning staff were superb - very friendly and did an amazing job. The room was spotless every day. The courtyard where you could have a drink or a meal was so soothing!”
