- Upon check in, the guest will be charged a security deposit for incidentals.<br><br>Upon booking a room, within 24 hours we will charge the first night's rent and tax as an Advance Deposit which is refundable if you cancel up to 24 hours before your arrival date.<br><br>Upon check-in, the property will place an authorized hold on your credit card for the remainder of your stay and/or for incidentals.<br><br>No-shows and same-day cancellations will not be refunded the Advance Deposit.<br><br>Pets are approved on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the hotel and speak to the manager for approval.<br><br>We are a pension-style, historic hotel. Please be aware that the restrooms and showers are not in the room, but rather down the hall, and are private when in use but shared by all hotel guests.<p>Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. “The hotel has special allure given its historical importance; A fine Italian restaurant is associated with it.But a kukie shared bathroom, cramped room space, and lack of tv make the property less attractive. Interesting, but not for everyone.”

“The charm and character of the property. Teeny weeny rooms, no cat swinging possible but it was a gorgeous old building so we knew this would be the case. The restaurant beneath the building was amazing with a full jazz band playing when we arrived. Though I think that's a regular thing: not just for us ;-)”
“We had already stayed there 5 years ago, and if anything the hotel looked even better than before. Ok, the rooms are small, but who cares when you have a whole city within walking distance! The bathrooms and the showers were all perfectly clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful, both at the reception and on the floor. The ambiance is just great, and so is the location, close to Coit Tower, to the Fisherman's wharf, and to Lombard Street.”
