“Booked at very short notice having spoken with the pub earlier. We've stayed in Marston's Inns before so had an idea of what we were getting. Staff were great, rooms bit dated but pretty clean. Breakfast was excellent and my wife (who by her own admission is fussy) had what she described as 'perfect' poached eggs. I got the impression that if I'd asked for stuffed aardvark the chef wouldn't have batted an eyelid.”
