“When we arrived, we wanted to visit Black Dog Salvage which is the location for a HGTV television program called Salvage Dogs. The person at the reception desk gave us driving directions and said it was worth seeing. The hotel facility was immaculate and the room was very comfortable. There is a Restaurant on site called the Shula Grill and the food was delicious!”
“Shula’s is a fantastic restaurant that’s attached to the property and honestly, probably the only good thing about it.”
“The stuff was happy and friendly. (Like they really liked their job) The rooms were small but comfortable and clean. The free shuttle service was a nice surprise. Would take you anywhere you needed to go.”
“Conveniently located near Valleyview Mall and several places to eat. Not too far from downtown. Very nice Visitor Center in downtown Roanoke. Breakfast buffet at the hotel was very nice (scrambled eggs could have been better...very hard). Otherwise nice selection of breakfast items.”
“Bed and pillows were fantastic, room temps were great and air was quiet, rooms were quiet.”
“We loved the friendly front desk staff and the extensive fitness room.”
“The grounds were beautifully landscaped, there were nice interior touches that made one feel welcome. The bedding was soooo nice! Quality linens and comforters along with the best hotel pillows I've ever slept on made the sleep experience up there with the best. I wasn't expecting this at all. Happy surprise!”
“The balcony in the room was awesome. It had an amazing view of the mountains. The room was spacious and clean.”
“Accommodations, staff, food, all wonderful. I wish I could find more reasons to come to Roanoke, just to stay here”
“For $180, breakfast was not included. The bed was hard and the mattress pad bunched up under me every time I turned over. The drapes did not meet the wall next to the head of my bed, so outside lights were in my face all night. The carpet in the hall was wrinkled in several places, worn threadbare in places, especially at the seams. The outside grounds seemed nicely landscaped, but didn't get to enjoy them since we arrived late and left early to find some breakfast that wasn't so expensive.”
