“We came to Otaru to ski at Kiroro. The Smile hotel was a short walk from the bus terminal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was very good value for money and there were several very good restaurants in the area. A Great place to stay”

“Although the hotel is old, it is immaculately clean and gives a feel of being in a Japanese home. Stayed in a spacious tatami mat room. Bathroom really small so might not be suitable / comfortable for those of larger build. Simple, free breakfast ”
“The room was very spacy at a very reasonable price. The Tatami-style mattress on the floor was warm and comfy. The location is perfect. In between the JR station and the canal where all the shops and restaurants are. Within walkable distance to the JR station and center of the town. Check in and Check out were smooth.”
