“This was an overnight stop over during our annula 2 days of 4x4'ing in Cumbria. We normally stop at a Premier Inn, Carlisle, but for some reason the cost for a Premier Inn has risen to ward us off ... which as it turned out, is fanatastic as we got to find The Blacksmiths Arms. Its in a great location, easy to find. The Staff are superb staff (there was nothing they could not do for us) Excellent value for the Room, the Meals, great variety of Drinks. Free Car Parking. I was in Room-4 which was great (a double bed and a single), and the shower in the bathroom is better than mine at home.”
“Slightly off the beaten track but well worth seeking out. Genial hosts, pleasant and courteous staff and great pub atmosphere. Excellent evening meal and breakfast, comfortable room and bed along with a superb bathroom. A very pleasant one-night stay and definitely on my list of favourites. I look forward to my next visit.”
