“Beautifully updated heritage building, ideally located in the main street. Marble staircases, decorative plasterwork, stained glass windows and tessellated tile entry grace this grand old lady. My room had access to the balcony over the street with a view of the park which was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dined in, and the Seniors menu was a welcome surprise, good value for money. I stayed midweek and found it very quiet, but there is a music venue in the basement Friday and Saturday nights, so it could be noisy then. Would definitely stay again.”
