“A simple, clean-lined design within a beautiful villa, offering a couple of nice public spots for reading or a glass of wine. Location offers an unusual level of quiet in this busy town while only 5 to 7 mins walk to most attractions, eateries and shops. Room was very clean with a large bathroom and views over the city. Beds are comfy with colorful Alentejano blankets, made for the Nobel House, at the end of the beds. Staff is knowledgeable and more than kind. Even put our luggage in our room for us.”

Breakfast was great with decent choices, in the part of the building with a nice view. The whole property had a nice ambience. The parking was a bonus for us as we were on a driving tour through Portugal.”

“The hotel was a great property and the staff was very accommodating. We arrived very late and they were very helpful with providing suggestions on the area and helping us bring our luggage to the room. The location is fantastic and the room very comfortable and quiet. You can easily walk to all sights in the city and many of the restaurants in the area. I will advise that if you have a car the parking is limited for the hotel but there is plenty of parking in the area, you will simply need to pay.”

“Loved the look and feel of the hotel. Very nice renovation which accented the original nature of the building while modernizing all facilities. Staff was very helpful, kind and responsive. We were told of a concert at the Theatre which turned out to be the highlight of our evening. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Fruit, meat, cheese, baked goods etc. Best traditional custard tarts of our trip.”
