“The staff at the Outpost were terrific across the board. We stayed at 4 Kruger lodges on our trip and the Outpost was the highlight. Our guide Donavin was fantastic in every way. He made our stay one we will never forget. Best walking safaris we experienced by far and their willingness to adjust the day to fit our interests was just fantastic. A bit of extra effort to get there but the remoteness and beauty of the northern Kruger were worth it. Thanks to Mike and Sandy and the rest of the Outpost crew for a great visit. And the ultimate thanks to Donavin whose enthusiasm and knowledge made it all be perfect.”

“The Outpost was one of the loveliest places I have stayed. The dining areas and our accommodation had the most spectacular views of the valley and baobab trees. The rooms or spaces as The Outpost likes to call them are just wonderful, so private but with expansive views of the valley. I loved having a bath looking out over the valley. On safari we went to the gorgeous Fever Tree Forest mentioned in Kipling's The Small Elephant story and saw the Limpopo were the crocodile waited. The landscape at this very northern end of Kruger is fantastic. Staff were all outstanding and the food was just magnificent.”

“Lovely staff who go above and beyond to make your stay nice. Dietary allergies were handled to an impressionable extent. The ranger was very knowledgable, well rounded and was able to extend his fascination of nature onto us. The area in the north of kruger is somewhat tranquil and offers a more "real" experience of wilderness than closed game reserves, which we appreciated a lot. The rooms were clean and the view is just gorgeous. The stay at Outpost was definitely one of the top highlights of our trip.”

“The drives were informative and a lot was visible. The food was wonderful and imaginative. The room had a stunning view, with hippos visible in the river throughout our stay. We saw incredible sunrises. The included wines were great! We received fantastic personal attention, and the request for gluten-free items was handled with no problems. Upon departure, we received a special gluten-free birthday cake that brought tears to one of us.”
