“Excellent location close to Princes St but quiet at night. Comfortable room (302) with tea and coffee making facilities. We were on a room only basis, so didn't eat at the hotel. Plenty of eating places close by. Staff all very friendly and willing to chat. Nice lounge area with comfy seating and a fire. Drinks at very reasonable prices. You're within easy walking distance of the Christmas Market and the train station.”

“Good location, wonderful staff (Daniel is wonderful, ask him anything about Edinburgh!), generous room/bathroom sizes--which were very clean; nice toiletries & good shower; TV offered the "Home" channel, which has HGTV-type shows, meaning if you want to watch TV, you aren't limited to 30 channels of European football, soccer, rugby & snooker; charming lobby with a cozy fire (and, it was COLD outside❄️, early December in Scotland), friendly, welcoming ambience. We really didn't eat in the restaurant, just desserts 1 evening, which were fine, but we cannot judge the quality of the restaurant on that.”
