“My wife and i arrived late evening. From checking in the receptionist was surprised to learn we were two persons, not one ! From then, after I paid the extra ten pounds cost, for the extra person. Everything was brilliant. The room, large, airy, bright, clean and comfortable. Breakfast , another surprise ten pounds extra each, but after payment. Nothing could have made the welcome any better. Dawn the happiest breakfast serving person , lent her local accent ,warmth and charm only to improve an already excellently cooked and servd meal. The little cost surprises were the only blot on a very warm and enjoyable overnight stay. We would definitely visit again, should we ever be in that area again.”

“The Hotel was old and worn but the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant was good with good food, once again excellent service. Good car park. Two downfalls , the room we had number 31 ! ask when you check in to see the room first!!! This room should not have been used, the bath was disgusting totally worn out no surface on the bath,the grout around the bath was black with mould ,also found two curly wurly hairs in bath i imagine where they came from !. we were told there was a refurb in progress but needs sorting out. Room was £90 ,breakfast extra £10 each but good value, charged £2.00 for coffee in the morning! First receptionist did not know any thing about the small village, any pubs? shops?”
