“The Armory Suite we had was big and luxurious. The bed was a super comfortable four poster bed and it was easy to feel cozy in the slippers and bathrobes, drinking champagne and eating homemade cookies. The staff is friendly and the full Scottish breakfast far more than you can eat, including also cereal, croissants, fresh orange juice, bread, toast, jam, honey etc. The suite is equipped with everything you could possibly need, like a TV and DVD player with various DVDs, a coffee machine and fridge, a blow dryer and even a hair straightener. The location close to the castle is perfect as you're right on the Royal mile in the middle of the beautiful old town. There's even a night guard who will come and get your bedroom ready for you, uncover the bed etc. This place is magical and well worth a visit.”

“The Witchery is a must stay while in Edinburgh. Located at the top of the Royal Mile it is a perfect location to see the sites. We booked for one night on our way to London. Firstly, once we got to our room, we didn't want to leave. The Rectory was beautiful, warm and welcoming. The bathtub and champagne were beconing but dinner reservations downstairs in The Secret Garden were waiting. Fabulous! Very good food and so romantic. Back up in our room we enjoyed the chilled champagne and huge bathtub. The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was in The Witchery restaurant. Another stunning room and the food was, again, very good. Sadly, we only stayed one night but with a promise to return for a longer stay”
