“When we arrived and went into our room we were very disappointed as the room had clearly been used by smokers. We mentioned at reception and without any delay we were upgraded to a larger room, better views and facilities. They didn't have to go and check they took our word.”
“We had been walking the south west coast path all day and were greeted by very friendly staff. nothing was to much trouble. best rib eye steak i have had. clean and comfortable room.”

Stayed for dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was lovely, had a large selection of wines to choice from. Beach was a very short stroll from the hotel which would be perfect for people that have been on the beach all day and want to just relax afterwards.”

The facilities are amazing. It was just a lovely break in a part of Devon that we love in a gorgeous setting. Thank you”
“Breakfast was very good, as was the dining room for breakfast, plenty of room and plenty of choice in food and plenty of time. We were in room 208 and we had no complaints at all, the view was wonderful. Food in Brasserie was very good, we did not try the main dining room in the evening as we were too tired to bother with changing to come down again so we ate early each evening, dressed as as we were and we felt perfectly comfortable in doing so. The young lady in charge of the bar was very, very pleasant. The only member of staff that we could find fault with was the headwaiter at breakfast, he seemed to think that he was the only person doing anything there and walked about looking busy but not in fact doing a lot. On speaking to him on arrival for breakfast and making a remark about the weather, his response was, "room number please"! all the other staff were very pleasant.”
