“This motel-style hotel was conveniently located on our route passing through in a hurry, so we did not need access to the local area. Hedges have been planted that screen the hotel from the immediate surrounds, which did not appear interesting. In the circumstances, our room had a pleasant enough aspect over lawns, trees and the hedges. Easy onsite parking. The room was not large, but was comfortable for a short stay. Good bathroom (no bath). Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast was good (adequate choice; not cooked dishes; the coffee was out of a machine, but I think you could have coffee made). We did not need to try the restaurant. Clean, comfortable, well run: everything you would expect from the Tulip Inn chain; but of course no special character.”
