“Beautiful tasteful eccentric house....a Joy. Great welcome and service.”

, United Kingdom

“We stayed 2 nights from 12 to 14 October (not 14 to 15) and we liked the hotel building, which is an old family house very well preserved, keeping its own very unique character, and in the mean time well adapted to the tourist hospitality. Despite being in a hotel one feels like being a guest of the family. The library is excellent, offering plenty of art, travel and history books as well as children's literature. We loved the restaurant too, not only for the delicious home made meals but for its original interior design and furniture and atmosphere as well.”

, Spain

“This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations! Very well maintained authentic family house. Decent size rooms and clean throughout. Good sleeping quality and quiet overall. There is a good size swimming pool and garden to relax. The owner was nice and welcoming. There is a bar service and dinner is available on request.”

“The property is a lovely renovated former home in the middle of the countryside. The decoration has made the most of the features of the Spanish house, including a wonderful trompe l'oeil under a skylight in one of the bedroom wings. The owner was extremely nice and helpful - speaking Spanish and English - and the service was extremely good. We had dinner and breakfast there which were both delicious. We spent time relaxing by the pool outside and also inside there is a cozy seating area for reading in the dining room. The property feels more personal than a hotel, and it would be a great place to rent as a private group for a party or for a weekend work event.”

“The hotel is charming and rather unique. Breakfast was good and generous.”

“Our 2 day stay was like spending time with a good friend. Pedro was very welcoming and lent us his Binoculars for a local trip. The room was spacious and comfortable and the house is decorated in typical spanish style. There is a bar on site and the food is excellent and local. Well behaved pets are welcome and there are walks around in lovely countryside.”

, Spain

“We loved the location. Very rural. Only 166 people! It was like being in another time. The food was delicious and prices reasonable. The owners were very kind and helpful.”

, USA

“Lovely small family run rural hotel. We had the family suite which was ideal for us. Two interconnecting rooms - one with three single beds and the other with a double. We spent the evening in the communal sitting room playing cards in front of the open fire and then had dinner. There are no restaurants we could see in the local village so definitely worth eating in. We really enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Great value overall and Pedro was lovely and very helpful. We speak Spanish so enjoyed meeting the other guests in the communal sitting and dining rooms but there are enough couches and nooks to be separate if you so wished. A great place for a stopover. Would have liked to stay two nights. The kids really enjoyed it too. Some very picturesque villages nearby to visit too which we did the next day.”

, Australia

“Just fantastic 1 night stay! Amazing owner, could tell many stories. Room were comfortable, the breakfast was just perfect. It's really a hidden gem in a small country village! All the best to you!”

, Ireland

“The look of the exterior of the property and the courtyard. The initial welcome and the offer of an earlier evening meal at 7pm which was appreciated as the Spanish time was 9.30pm for sit-down.”
