“Nice and warm with good food and friendly helpful staff”

“The bedroom was very large and the bed really comfortable.”

“The property was in an ideal location for our stay. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived after the normal closing time of the restaurant, but the chef returned to the kitchen and cooked us a fantastic dinner. The rooms were first class and extremely well equipped, there was every facility. Breakfast wasn't until 10am, which was a little bit late for us, but they sorted out tea and scones instead. ”

“The room was fine for me would have been a squash for two. View was over some roof tops but being a pub the rooms were quiet and it was in the centre of the town. Apart from checking in never saw any staff.”

“I had read the reviews and they said old fashioned room old tv no tea or coffee making facilities but that wasn't true . There was a flat screen TV tea and coffee making facilities i in cupboard lovely comfy bed great shower and really good hair dryer very satisfied with room”

“Nice place where would you stay for resting during your road trip. Personally I find prices to be a little bit too high but they just in line with other hotels. The room was nice and clean, staff was very nice, and food was very good!”

“Excellent place to stay. Clean and safe with excellent WiFi, comfortable beds and a good shower. It was very central and plenty of parking in the near vicinity. Convenient for where I was working and lots of food and drink outlets for later at night but felt safe. The pub itself was very well run and busy without being noisy or raucous. All staff were attentive and so was the Manager later on. The rooms are away from the main area so no issues with ambient noise. They have a separate door so you can have privacy or divert to the main area if you want a little company. Gave the impression of a well run, efficient and clean establishment that was willing to cope with any requests. The freedom of a hotel with the warmth of a well run B&B.”
