“Great location in the Village! Subway just a block away.”
“Comfy bed, comfy bath robe, and nice strong hot shower”
“It's a fine hotel - typical old NYC hotel with small guest rooms - but let's be honest - the main thing this hotel has going for it is location. Across from one of the best parks in the city, close to two subway stops, and a short walk to the core of Greenwich Village and Soho. Staff was nice.”
“Accommodated early check-in without charging the night before that we had booked to be sure to have two of three rooms for red-eye flight arrival, and it was Thanksgiving week! Very friendly staff, especially Ronnie. We will be back!”
“We stayed for two days before Thanksgiving then went away for two nights then moved back in. they held the bulk of our luggage in the luggage room. Everything was fine. They even gave us the same room the second time.”
“Situated next to Washinton Park and SoHo which we love.”
“Was first taken to a room with carpeting which I dislike. I asked for a change and the receptionist happily showed me two rooms with wooden floors and I chose one which suited us better. The room was high up in the building with lots of light. Nice breakfast cafe. One of New York’s best trendy nouveau Italian restaurants Bapoo is across the street.”
“We had an end corridor room it was lovely and quiet”
“The hotel itself was so nicely preserved and the inclusion of the family’s personal artwork to decorate the hotel was really lovely. The personnel at the front door were so personable and welcoming. They helped us understand the history of the hotel as well. The North Cafe provided a convenient and delicious place to eat. The coffe was especially good.”
“Excellent location on Washington Square and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Accommodations were very clean and adequate (room on the small side with a small wall mounted TV). The included continental breakfast was very good and in a comfortable setting. I would have rated the property higher on value however, this appears to have been a pricey week in NY and many hotels, including this one, were at premium pricing.”
