“Serena Hotel is such a lovely choice. The location is amazing, its right on the water and you have front row seats to the sunset! I had a hammock on my waterfront balcony which was just wonderful. There was live music every night which added to the charm and I loved all the wood work in the room and around the hotel, it lent the place an old world charm. My favorite thing though is the breakfast, lovely selection, attentive service and gorgeous views of the water. You just want to go back for more. It's also an easy walk to anywhere in Stone Town. I've been to this city about 6-7 times and this was by far my best hotel experience.”

“Excellent location in Stone Town. Lovely sea-oriented layout. I was upgraded to a room view a very large balcony on the first floor, directly looking at sea - I'll never forget the beautiful sunsets sitting there and listening to the waves. AC worked perfectly - and in Zanzibar you really need that. Nice breakfast. Reception staff is outstanding.”

The location is perfect as it is walking distance to Stone Town yet also by the beautiful ocean so you can watch the boats while you have breakfast! The management and staff were most thoughtful and made our 25th wedding anniversary so special. We shall certainly be back and God willing we shall mark our Golden Jubilee there as well!”
“The staff was very well trained and very attentive. The service levels was much higher than what we experienced at other Serena Hotels in Tanzania and we had no reason to complain at those hotels. I liked the quality of the furnishings and the furniture in the rooms and the passages and public areas at the hotel. The live taraab band was a small highlight for me. Watching the sun setting in die Indian Ocean from the pool deck is recommended.”
