“We LOVED this place - first the location in Grainau is perfect! We could walk to everything in the town and the parking was right by the entrance. The breakfast was delicious and Christian does an amazing job keeping everything clean and comfortable for the guests. We loved our room - the view of the mountains and we felt very welcomed. There was also a ton of information provided on local attractions and hiking. LOVED IT!!!”
“The overall feel of the place is excellent and clean, accommodation and rooms are of traditional character, in most travelers eyes would seem dated. The breakfast served is excellent and Christian attend to your request. The location is excellent and travelling using the grainau card is excellent. The way to travel to Garmish is by Zugspitze local train, it is nicer and more relaxing than the very crowded bus. Try the Venezia iceream parlour you love it, Pizzeria Da Franco 3 doors up for great meals.”
“Grainau is a quiet small town near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There is a well-functioning train and bus traffic between cities. So you don't necessarily need your own car. The most important attraction is of course Zugspitze. You can easily reach Zugspitze from Grainau by train. The hotel is well located in the center of Grainau.”

“Owner/operator on staff was very friendly and helpful when we came in with questions; it also helped that he spoke fluent English. The breakfast had lots of delicious choices - even for a vegetarian. The private bathroom and exterior entrance were both nice. The location was BEAUTIFUL and convenient to main square and public transportation.”
